Free Radon Kits Are Available at MPHPL for St. Joseph County Residents

‘Join the St. Joseph County Radon-Free Homes Initiative’

MPHPL has partnered with the St. Joseph County Department of Health to spread the word about their important Radon-Free Homes Initiative.?

  • While 1 in 15 homes nationwide has elevated radon levels, St. Joseph County’s rate is 1 in 4 homes.?

  • St. Joseph County residents can stop by any MPHPL location to pick up a free radon test kit.?

  • If your home has elevated levels, you may also be eligible for a free remediation system.?

  • Ancestry Library Edition is a free online resource provided at MPHPL when you connect to our Wi-Fi.?

  • The popular genealogy tool provides access to collections from North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and more.?

  • Connect with your own device or access while using a MPHPL computer.?

Holmes and Nicolini Appointed to the MPHPL Board of Trustees

MPHPL is thrilled to officially welcome Sarah Holmes and Mary Nicolini to the? MPHPL Board of Trustees!?

  • Sarah Holmes, a special education liaison, was appointed by the St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners.?

  • Mary Nicolini, a retired teacher, was appointed by the Penn-Harris-Madison School Board.?

  • Both will serve four-year terms.?

  • Thank you both for your commitment to literacy and to the communities of Penn and Harris townships.?

MPHPL Offers Cardholders Free Meeting Room Usage

Four meeting rooms at MPHPL that can be reserved. ‘Book your next meeting with us!’

Whether you are hosting a seminar or seeking a venue for your club or organization to meet, MPHPL offers meeting rooms that you can book for free!?

  • A group representative must reside in Penn or Harris township and hold an MPHPL card, or group using the room must be a business/institution in our service area and someone in the group must hold an MPHPL card.?

  • Meeting Rooms may be booked up to four months in advance.?

  • Attendance of five or more is required for booking a MPHPL Meeting Room.?


Join us for Mindful Moments Meditation Sessions at the Harris Branch

'Mindful Moments Meditation'

Meditation can help reduce stress, enhance focus and improve overall well-being.?

  • Learn about meditation by registering for one or more sessions on Wednesday, March 5, 12 and 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.?

  • North American Institute of Vinhangam Yoga licensed instructor, Shikha Sinha, will guide the meditation sessions.?

  • Please note that registration is required for each session.?
