March 2024 Update

What is happening at this moment in my life?

It has been two weeks since I have been off crutches, and I can drive and walk to places again. It feels great to be able to get out of the house, go out, and see people at work. I am still very cautious about doing too much because the goal is to avoid surgery. My next appointment is in late May.

I have also begun to get out and speak more about the book on a local level. There is such a hunger for leadership these days, and people want it more and more. It is all about tapping our value system and being able to execute and lead from our heart.

As many of you know, I fractured my knee (lateral tibial plateau fracture). I have discovered chair/seated workouts. What a blessing it has been to embrace this new challenge. I didn't say that initially, but one of my goals in 2024 was to challenge myself more. I had no idea how weak my upper body was. It has been such a game-changer for me. There are lots of videos on YouTube, too. Seated cardio is a thing…Sometimes, we can learn so much from events in our lives that we never saw coming.

Work is going very well as the team continues working toward new KPIs and goals for 2024. We continue to watch for new regulations being discussed at the city and state levels, in particular. Industry-wide, we are seeing an economy trying to break through. We are seeing some industries struggle while others are pushing through and others are seeing tremendous success. The variance is quite interesting.??

Leadership Today

I see leadership as the key to continuing to manage the day to day and look to the future. It is important to have a solid base and in those areas that we have some risk or a bit weak we are addressing. I believe even more that people make all the difference today. ?Continuing to work at these relationships with open communication and alignment to goals and expectations has been the difference that I am seeing in 2024.

Summary

As we enter March, I am excited for spring and warmer temperatures. We are in the middle of Lent, and Easter happens at the end of this month. It is a time to see where we are currently at and make adjustments to reach our goals or make sure we are headed in the right direction. It is also a time to look inside and make sure we are trusting God more and more in prayer as Easter quickly approaches this year. ??

?I am involved with some incredible projects and opportunities, and I look forward to sharing more in the weeks and months ahead. ?Enjoy this special time of the year and continue to pray and grow as we move forward into 2024.
