This month’s Innovation for Agriculture newsletter includes details of several Farm of the Future events, which we are delivering in partnership with RASE. These are all free of charge to farmers and include a finance workshop, an event for livestock farmers and a webinar focusing on social sustainability and farm resilience.

Farm of the Future: Putting regenerative livestock production into practice
Farmers are invited to join Innovation for Agriculture and RASE for a Farm of the Future demonstration day at Plumpton College in East Sussex on 30th May. The event will include a farm tour and machinery and soils demonstrations, plus talks and panel discussions on regenerative agriculture and future farm policy, current livestock health and welfare issues and sustainable waste management.
21st Century income - What does a farm business of the future look like?
Farmers are invited to join Innovation for Agriculture and RASE for a workshop on generating new income streams, which will take place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 24th April.
The workshop will be delivered by Martin Collison, from Collison and Associates Limited. It will cover new income in agrifood production, adding value in the food chain, energy investment, property income streams, environment income streams and making a plan for the future.

The social side of sustainability - what are the opportunities for UK farms?
This Farm of the Future webinar will focus on how activities which enhance social sustainability can be incorporated as part of a resilient farm business. It will take place from 11am until 12 noon on Tuesday 23rd April, 2024.
Speakers will include Dr Johnny Wake from Courteenhall Estate, Andrew Brewer from Ennis Barton Farm, Kate Henderson from FarmED and Corrina Urquhart from Lantra. The session will be chaired by Lisa Morgans from the RAU.
