Introducing our Team Sweden ????
This month it′s time for our Team Sweden to shine - so Brendan Carney and Magnus Kihlgren , let′s hit it!
1?? What's your role at Readpeak and how long have you been with us?
Brendan: I am the Country Manager for Sweden and joined in November 2023.
Magnus: Agency Lead and I've been on this exciting journey since August 2021.
2?? What's your favourite part about working at Readpeak?
Brendan: I love the excitement of working at a fast growing tech company. We’re able to be agile and adapt easily to market trends. Good ideas are welcomed and everyone contributes to the evolution of the product.
Magnus: Working with such a fantastic team of talented people and having the privilege to have a lot of exciting brands advertising through the platform.
3?? What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Brendan: I’m a keen musician and you can sometimes find me playing guitar in small venues in Stockholm. I’m also into brewing craft beer at home and have almost perfected my IPA recipe.
Magnus:?I'm somewhat of a tennis junkie.?If I played i tennis half as much as I watch it I would probably be a decent player.
4?? What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone just starting in your field?
Brendan: Never be afraid to admit you don’t know something. The only way to advance is to ask questions. That can be tough sometimes in a group but very often you won’t be the only one in the room who doesn’t fully get it. If you don’t ask, you never will.
Magnus: Enjoy every moment.
5?? Share a funny memory from your time at Readpeak that still makes you chuckle today.
Magnus: I arrived late to my first interview at Readpeak due to mixing up the adresses ending up att an elderly home. Finnish companies was new to me but the pace seemed a bit slow.
6?? What’s one interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?
Magnus: That I play the piano and have competed in kayak racing.
7?? If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
Brendan: The answer to that probably changes on a weekly basis but right now I’d say Marcus Aurelius. His philosophy is still as useful today as it would have been 2000 years ago.
8?? What’s a fun or quirky talent that you have?
Brendan: I can solve a Rubiks Cube in around a minute. Once I made a bet with a barman and won my whole team a round of drinks on a night out.
