March 2024 Newsletter

With the launch of our Pet-Inclusive Scorecard and creation of new resources for a variety of rental housing stakeholders, the Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative team has had a very busy Q1! Where We'll Be

PIHI Program Director Ross Barker will be joining Nia Bratton from the Michelson Center for Public Policy at the 2024 Housing California Annual Conference in Long Beach, March 6-8. If you are there, please stop by Booth 43 to learn more about how we can work together to expand access to rental housing for people with pets.

Later this month, Ross will be attending Global Pet Expo 2025 in Orlando, where he will be participating in a Fireside Chat about pets and housing at 2pm ET on March 21. While in Orlando, Ross will also be attending the Pet Summit and joining a meeting of American Pet Products Association (APPA) 's newly formed Industry Advisory Council.

Ross and multifamily industry expert Judy Bellack will be sharing all things pet-inclusive housing with our animal welfare colleagues during the Maddie's Fund Community Conversation on March 25 at 2pm ET. You can join this virtual call by registering here.
