Dear Friends,

March is Women's History Month, a time to celebrate the incredible achievements of women who are shaping our city! Across the landscape of government, academia, healthcare, and beyond, women in NYC are leaving their mark with groundbreaking contributions.

Many of these inspiring women were Health Department leaders and subject matter experts at our recent Convening for Maternal Health in NYC on March 12.?The Maternal Home Collaborative (MHC) was the center of the discussion. This place-based pilot will provide a coordinated and comprehensive implementation of maternal health services,?centering Black women and their infants in all aspects of care.

You can support the MHC as an Amplifier, a Champion, or an Investor (or all three!). Learn more about these three action categories and explore our toolkits to help you spread the word, activate your networks, and direct funding toward the MHC pilot.

Together, we can reduce maternal mortality and morbidity and strengthen the health and well-being of all New Yorkers.

Warm Regards,

Sara Gardner, Chief Executive Officer

.As First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright said at the opening of the convening, “We want to make New York City the safest and best place for a Black woman to have a baby in the country, but we cannot do that without a collective effort – without community and without philanthropy, and this gathering is a step on the journey.”

You can be an Amplifier, a Champion, or an Investor (or all three!) in support of the MHC. Learn more about the "I am" campaign for the MHC and the three action categories.
