Folio Lab x Olivia Waller

Our production studio teamed up with Olivia Waller to bring one of her beautifully hand-painted patterns to life, as part of a packaging campaign for hand soap.?Using a?mix of 2D & 3D techniques, the final result gives a taster of what we can accomplish through animation.

Daniel Clarke

After?spending the last year co-directing a short Star Wars film called "Aau’s Song”?for Lucasfilm, Daniel Clarke is making a long-awaited return to freelance illustration.

With a rich background in fine art, live-action film, and animation, his work plunges the viewer into?stunning new worlds. Even his portraits - expertly painted by digital means - evoke a strong sense of narrative.

With this commission for Indianapolis Magazine, the?article centered around?Robert Jefferson, an?illegitimate son of?Thomas Jefferson, the third US president. Since?many of Robert's descendants were?interviewed for this piece, Ed Tuckwell cleverly used?a DNA double?helix to connect the father, son, and historian, who?unraveled?this?incredible tale.?

Often tasked with difficult subjects like this, Ed always brings fresh ideas and an atmospheric quality?to his work.?

Finn Campbell Notman

HUGE congratulations to Finn Campbell Notman, announced as?Landscape Artist of the Year?following a ten-part competition series on Sky Arts.

After keenly watching how each artist would?capture a new location each week, the esteemed panel of judges?awarded Finn with a £10,000 commission for?Royal?Museums Greenwich, to create a painting that celebrates the Dutch fathers of seascape painting - The?Van de Veldes.

Finn’s work is renowned for its subtle storytelling. With a perceptive use of colour and composition, he's able to harness a breathtaking?sense of atmosphere, which impressed throughout the competition and culminated in this?final piece "Fail We May, Sail We Must".?
