Are you sowing seeds for the crops you want to cultivate?
It's that time of the year, for those of us that like to grow things, (and if you own a business I'm sure you do!) to begin sowing your seeds. Now is the best time of the year to sow beetroot, carrot, chicory, swiss chard, spinach and spring onion. Now is also a perfect time to begin?modifying your marketing methodology. The green-fingered of us know that for growth in our gardens, we need to understand how much water, sunlight and feed?our crops need so that we can then indulge in the?joy of seeing?growth. The same goes for the elements needed for how we carefully communicate with our prospective clients.?The ways that our brands communicate with our audiences change over time, not only due to technological developments but also in the ways?our businesses mature and find their authentic voices.
The further development of your brand and voice is a natural process and consequence of growth; a process that inevitably involves reaching further than where we are today, embracing the unknown beyond our comfort zone, and being brave to try new things. The most effective marketers try new things, push further and don't stick around the campfire. They look for opportunities in the unknown and learn from each experience. The sensible of us know that one million views of a post doesn't necessarily equate to new clients and that most influencers buy fake followers?(even the small ones on LinkedIn). This is why your marketing should begin with?a?strong foundation developed from an analysis of your audience coupled with an application of?relevant psychological and scientific data. It's not just the data that's important but also how you interpret it. From that strong foundation, we can then enable sustainable growth.?
