It appears that March was a great month for some fast reading; this was the second book I read this month that I would like to recommend to you. 'Tribes' shares insights on how groups of people with a shared vision collaborate together to execute and deliver results. As human beings, we have an obligation to belong which is present in the workplace. As a leader, you need to serve your group and bestow faith into the process. A tribe the communicates and fosters emotion stays flexible in quickly changing business landscape.
Here are some quotes that resonated with me:
- "Great leaders don't want the attention, but they use it. They use it to unite the tribe and to reinforce its sense of purpose"
- "Great leaders focus on the tribe and only the tribe"
- "Leaders who set out to give are more productive than leaders who seek to get"
- "Tribes are about faith--about belief in an idea in a community"
