March 17 – Psalm 31:19 – In the Sight of All

?

???? This Psalm is so power packed full of great truth.? David begins by relating of how great is the goodness of God.? God is good and God is great.? James says that every perfect gift comes from above.? James also reminds us that with God there is no shadow turning.? He will deal with us the same every time.? This goodness is not just distributed immediately but also is stored up for the appropriate time.? It then will be given in the sight of all men so that the Lord will be glorified.?

???? This goodness has a condition however.? Many of God`s promises have conditions on them.? All connected with the power of free will and choice.? W3e choose to serve the Lord.? When you are in awe and have a powerful respect of God this open the windows and doors of God`s goodness.? Then David closes off this verse with an exhortation to take refuge in the Lord.? The refuge idea is a recurring theme through out the Psalms.? God is a place of rest, safety and help.? God will feed, clothe and protect you in all times in the sight of all.?
