Marbella International Film Festival 2017

A week after the Marbella International Film Festival and just recovering from an action-packed festival week!

With an amazing array of talent from around the world bringing their shorts, documentaries and features, there was a close togetherness and support from the new found film family! The highlight of the week for me was meeting Timothy Spall and watching his feature film "Stanley: A Man Of Variety' Timothy plays a mentally ill patient who plays 16 different characters in 85mins covering comedy from iconic comedians such as Max Wall. Timothy is the only actor in the movie. Timothy was awarded "Best Actor' for the screenplay. Highly recommended viewing, such a unique showcase of Timothy's amazing talent and the wonderful writing of Stephen Cookson.

Another great moment was meeting Michelle Collins who brought her amazing Short to the festival "Black Road'. 'Black Road' is set in a seaside town in the North of England and explores the relationships between two strangers, Maggie and Lilli, which develops out of a broken promise that Maggie made to herself in order to help and protect Lilli. Michelle, proudly accepted her award for "Best Actress' in the Short Film which was very well deserved!

There were so many great movies and shorts, all deserved to win for their dedication and passion contributing to the art of the film industry. Well done to All! I was honoured to meet such amazing people, some of which I hope to be working with very soon! www.marbellafilmfestival.com
