Marathon chocolate bars will return almost 30 years after being renamed Snickers. 

The nut-packed snack will be called Marathon once more but only in selected stores for three months.

Marathon bars, as they were known in the UK, were renamed Snickers in 1990 because Mars wanted to be consistent around the world.

The name has now been re-registered as a UK trademark and will still use the same recipe as Snickers, so there will be no changes to the product.
