9 年Thanks Anton!! Please note this short article only addresses (superficially) the yellow blocks – as you mentioned, the analytics (although there is a massive communication effort within it). But the grey blocks are also part of the mapping process – also communication-intensive. Yet, this is one part of the Supply Network Governance Cycle, explained in my book (Executing the SC). When you have the chance to read it, you will realize the management of people and their interactions are the building blocks of the cycle. In fact, the first chapter of my first book (A Guide to SCM) is entitled “Supply Chain, People and Knowledge”. Once again, thanks for your comment! Alex.

9 年Thank you for the article, Alexandre. I especially commend you for identifying and including the need for a communications strategy. This is one of my own "hobby horses" in regards to Supply Chain Mgmt. With so much focus on Supply Analytics, even when an article cites Process Mapping requirements they miss out on the absolute need to process map the communications chain as well. This is an imperative - to ascertain integrity of data, governance compliance and strategy alignment. Thanks Again Anton
