Mapping in CIO Magazine
Chuffed to bits. The mapping technique made it into two front page articles in CIO Magazine.
First up was an Introduction into Wardley ('Value Chain') Mapping.
Second up was HS2 (High Speed Rail) CIO James Findlay interview on Boats, trains and CIO reveals in which he explains
"We use Wardley maps to identify our opportunities, silos and to ensure we have a modular approach and do not end up locked in. Simon Wardley talks of situational awareness and we are very visual beings, so it is far easier to visualise and have a richer picture to find ways that IT can be commoditised or perhaps outsourced. This approach enabled the team to articulate to the board business values, but decisions in a way that is engaging."

9 年Very nice! Well done and congratulations. Side note: when I've taken to explaining the evolutionary process, I now say "novelty, stability, commodity, utility." It has a nice cadence to it which I think makes it easier for people to remember.
I say it's about bloody time. Congratulations, Simon.
