As the possibility of Restricted Movement Order (RMO) to be extended is likely, a lot of business owners start to "suddenly" change their business directions, in the hopes that they are fast enough to catch up with the almost certain economic slowdown. And a lot of them change exactly in the direction their competitors are changing. So instead of following the flow, what is the USP of your business?
I would like to share with you the concept of "The Map is Not the Territory". In your mind, you are very certain you have a map of what is the direction of your business and the sales funnel will be. Hence, you thought that by changing the way to move everything online since that's what your competitors are doing, you will be spared from the storm that will come. You have done every step possible, pay cuts, closing unproductive plants, but yet, your company is still seeing reds.
What if, the map that you have in your mind is a map to Serdang (Selangor) but in your hands, you are holding a map to Serdang (Kedah)? You thought you have used the correct methods and leverage on the most effective resources, attended the most useful training, yet you still can't get the results you desire? You are holding the wrong Serdang map all these while. Hence, this is not the territory in your business. That's the reason, the map is not your territory.
Now, ask yourself, are your holding the map to Serdang (Selangor) or Serdang (Kedah) in your hands now? Is the exact same map you are having in your mind?
You don't know what are you dealing with at the moment if you don't get yourself clarity. Talk to me if you are confused of your direction, let me help you to get out of this unresourceful state, so that you can focus on which business strategy to focus on now!
