The Map is a Canvas, the Data is the paint? The possibilities are endless
Welcome back to this weeks Mapsimise update, as a team we feel like we have just about recovered from the epic and somewhat stressful roll out of V4, I don’t know, but you might have heard it mentioned now and again. ??
As you know Mapsimise is a generic software tool for businesses, that helps you and your teams understand your data by location, but this week we wanted to cover off a little more about what you can use Mapsimise for and what is coming next.
Just like building a house we have had to work on the foundation first and although it is an amazing foundation (we think so) you may be wondering what it is and what you can use it for.
When things are visual, we understand them quickly and with ease, spreadsheets might excel at calculation, but lists of data and numbers can be a bore, especially when there are better ways of looking at things than a list.
Nearly 85% of business data has an address element which mean you can display it visually on a map, allowing you to see where things are happening, but there is so much more….
This week we wanted to share a little more about what comes next
What’s Next!
We are now working on some new vertical solutions the first is "Mapsimise for Sales" a new approach to prospecting for your sales team by location.?We started this with version 3 and you can see from this quick example how you can search for businesses by location using Google My Business on a Map.
But now it is time for phase 2, which means more data and contact information being made available though the aggregation of different data services, our first is Foursquare that globally gives you access to over 400 million business records.?
Granted you don’t need that many, but it does mean you can find and target businesses by location create records in your CRM and build links through existing relationships, but more on this as we progress…..
Features this Week
Sure, we really do appreciate that any new software has some learning, and our focus has been to make it simple to use, but this week we wanted to feature some more of the features that you get with Mapsimise.
Firstly, let’s take a look at adding layers to a single map, one of the unique features with Mapsimise is the ability to add several sets of data onto one map, and here is how we do this, each set of data is called a layer, and each has its own unique settings.
Secondly, and now that you have added your data to a map, we wanted to show just how easy it is to filter that data, quickly accessing the information you really need to see.?Building filters is a big part of what we do with Mapsimise, give you lots of insight based on the right information.
