Many Skills, One Company (Speeches: Part 2)
Do you know who works at your company? I mean really know them. Do you know the background of the person in the cubicle next to yours?
The fact is, many people end up doing jobs that they never counted on in fields they didn’t major in. Was college a waste?
No.
Why?
I addressed that question in May when I delivered Schenectady County Community College’s commencement address, excerpted below. [Click here to read Speeches (Part 2) which is my commencement address to Schenectady High School, which was completely different].

Curious and Passionate Marketing and Communications Leader
9 年Good Morning! I just took a few minutes to read your blogs and I am completely inspired and impressed by your leadership mentality, and that you took the time right such motivational words. I have always kept focused on maintaining a healthy work/life balance and appreciating those people in my life who bring a moment of happiness, challenge, or support. I find it incredibly refreshing to read about an influential, successful leader in our community who believes not only in recognizing how important your employees are to the success of your company, but also the importance of downtime with family to reflect on oneself, allowing for further growth both professionally and personally. Your leadership style is what I strive for as I evolve as a business professional, as well as who I am as a person. I look forward to reading more of your blogs! Have a wonderful day :) Leah LaPointe
