NEW SCENARIO: Many Selfs

You might say we have many “selfs.” There’s the self you wear for home, and the one you wear at work. What self are you “wearing” right now??

As a leader, you’re responsible for putting your best self forward at any given time. What does that mean? It means you cannot let the complexity and intensity of your personal and professional life influence how you interact with employees and customers. The reality is that no one really does that.

The topic of this week’s scenario blog post is about trust and what happens when leadership does not put their best self forward. How do others react when you do that? How does that affect individual and team performance? How do you fix that?

ENJOYING THE INTEGRATOR

One review of my book, The Integrator, from Mudlumps stated:

“You'll enjoy learning, but you'll also enjoy the simple pleasure of reading it.”

This is a huge compliment. Think about it- when learning something complex, do you normally sit back and enjoy the book or struggle getting through it? More often than not (and I speak as a former professor), I see the latter.?

So, to have someone enjoy my storytelling and learn at the same time, I feel I’ve achieved my goal.?

The Integrator is available on Amazon. I hope you enjoy it too.
