Should you immigrate to a new country or not? What lies in it for you and for your family? Is it a wise decision to leave everything you have worked for so far and move to a new country altogether, leaving behind your family, culture and all the professional growth you have had in these past years? Are you even ready to make this move or just doing it for the sake of societal pressure.
I am sure, all such and a lot more questions arise in the mind of the person who is planning for immigration.
I recently attending a family wedding, wherein I came across a lot of relatives and friends talking about it. Now because I am an immigration consultant, hence there was no other better topic to discuss with me, and also a few wanted to just grab a topic or two to speak with others and to add to their so called Gossip of how easy and difficult it is.
When we stated having a conversation, a cousin of mine expressed how happy he was of his decision of immigrating to Canada a few years back. After immigrating to Canada in 2017, he did face a few troubles in the initial settlement, but he worked his way-out to grab a job matching his field within 20 days of his arrival in Canada. He worked hard and with a mix of negative and positive experiences in hand, today he is at a position, where he even owns a company, has a house in Brampton, and has a well paying off job and a business. In a jist if i conclude, according to him, if someone is immigrating alone, a person may need another 2-3 years to consider himself as a settled immigrant. He wnet a sa single candidate and this is how he corelated the time factor in terms of settlement.
He has an elder brother, who was at a pretty high designation in companies In India, immigrated to Canada in the early 2020 with his spouse. Initially he tthough it might not be worth leaving India when he is earning so well. But the thought process changed later on when he lived there for an year.
Now, as the brother was already settled in Canada, the time factor to settle there was just an year for him and his spouse. Because they did not have to struggle to settle down, look upon housing expenses like a new comer, had the support of a family member and many things were already sorted, hence for them, settlement meant a time frame of a year.
But both of them one thing in common. Nothing is served to you on a platter. You have to make sure that you network enough for you to land in the right job., Sitting at one place and just applying for online jobs wont make the difference, you will have to make sure that you are ready to step out, meet and connect with people, know the place, be ready for rejections more than acceptance, but eventually if you are two people ( and by that I meant a couple) then it becomes easy for you to handle the earnings and settlement.
Quality of life is quite serene there. You will really feel the difference once you start living there. They don't have to bother of the survival funds, either they have to think much about opening any new business. It merely takes 5-10 minutes for anyone to start their business if they are thorough with the planning and are clear in their prospective. This signifies that if you have entrepreneurial mindset, then Canada is the right place for you..
As far as job market is considered, currently Canada is at its lowest in terms of un-employment. You have ample of jobs as of now.
All you have to decide is where do you want to settle down initially. Which means doing a proper homework and research on the city wise expenses, travel arrangements, job opportunity, climate and weather conditions, etc. However the most important is expense, because initially you may tend to spend a bit extra than normal as it will be a new place.
As far as others, who were a part of the conversation for mere GOSSIP takers and doers, nodded and said.. HAAN TO HO HI JATA H... LOL......!!!
Hence, all inference I could draw is, immigration can never be of the same nature for any 2 individuals, be it of the same family.
"Your Own Circumstance and Nature defines the experience for you".
'DO NOT' just believe anyone "how easy and hard is it" for you to do it.
You would never know 'UNTIL YOU DO IT'..
All we advise is.. "JUST DO IT THE RIGHT WAY".... and I am sure it will be better than anyone else..
I welcome all to put their thoughts to it so that it becomes a little easy for the ones thinking about it.
Happy Immigration to you!!
