Many businesses struggle with marketing and sales.
Most people struggle with marketing and sales.
I wish to briefly talk about this, please note, I am not an expert in the sales industry but I have sufficient knowledge.
If you go through my posts (on Facebook my page: Msizi Simon Ndlovu - MSN), there is a post that I made about farming and that post at the moment is seating at 65k impressions (people who have seen it) and around 250 post shares. I am sure you're wondering why I'm telling you this.
After writing countless posts and I get few reactions from my audience it shows that there is something that didn't quite appeal with my posts and when all of the sudden I reach 65k without boosting the post it means I have found what people would like to read. So all my posts should be around that.
Therefore, when you have a business, not all your posts are going to appeal to your audience but keep posting until you find that breakthrough. Secondly, after every month sit down and analyze your posts and see which ones got more reactions than the other ones and focus on the content that got more reactions than the other ones. It is that simple.
In a business world, it is all about finding your niche, not everyone is your client, not everyone would like you or what you do but when you find those that show interest never let go of them. Give me more reason to like you, buy from you and trust you.
I'm writing this because many people are struggling to get sales which is a result of not so good marketing. Get your marketing skills/strategies right and clients will come flying.
About the sales, if you have let's say one client, treat that client like a king or queen, he/she is your unpaid ambassador, he will tell more people and what I know about people is that they trust what they hear from the people they know than us (entrepreneurs) whom they don't know. Best strategy ever treats your current clients right and your business will stay alive forever as long as what you're providing is still relevant.
Another issue, focus your sales to the specific groups of people. An example; If you are selling headphones or earphones you need to know which group listens to music more, what age, what type of quality headphones they want, if you targeting DJs you know that you need to target events/clubs/shisanyamas and get them to try out your headphones. If you are targeting students who are always on their headphones especially in the buses, libraries and wherever they study then go to universities and try to collaborate/partnership when they are university's events and promote your headphones.
Find a specific strategy for what you are selling. Don't sell headphone to abo Gogo be mpesheni ( don't sell to pensioners) that's not your market group or sell to call centres people who are always using headphone, although they need specific ones but know your target audience.
About sells as well, don't be too selly. People hate it when you show that you are just trying to make them but rather tell them the value of the product you have and let them decide if it dwells well with them. There are technical words that you must use when you are selling which doesn't appear as you are selling. I will share them this week. Pick your words right and don't push too hard.
Remember people buy because they want something not because of you. Sell them the value and let them decide.
I hope this will help. Please share this to all entrepreneurs you know, I am positive it will add at least 1% in their business knowledge.
Thank you.
