The 2018 MForesight National Summit
I'm deeply honoured to be MCing the 2018 MForesight National Summit next month in Washington DC.
This exciting and impactful one-day event will be bringing together many of the nation’s foremost manufacturing experts, business leaders, and decision-makers to explore strategies for creating and sustaining manufacturing jobs, preserving the innovation edge, national security, and maintaining global competitiveness.
On one hand, U.S. industry still faces grand challenges — including the erosion of industrial commons and the offshoring of both manufacturing production and R&D. On the other hand, American manufacturing faces transformative opportunities — including high-performance materials, ubiquitous sensors, automation, smart manufacturing, and other emerging trends and technologies taking hold.
Earlier this year, MForesight hit the road, conducting roundtables with thought leaders in cities across the United States, to identify bold and actionable recommendations for public and private to restore America’s manufacturing capabilities, and capture the full value from our R&D investments. At this year’s summit, MForesight will unveil recommendations from these roundtables and explore strategies for helping them take hold.
In addition to interactive panels, you will hear from manufacturing thought leaders such as a technology keynote from Blake Moret, CEO of Rockwell Automation, and a policy keynote from Willy Shih of Harvard Business School. You will also have the opportunity to network with those at the leading edge of advanced manufacturing.
