According to the ADS Group, the aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors collectively added £38.2 billion in value to the UK economy in 2023.
The new report, published last week by the ADS Group underscores the significant contributions of these sectors to the UK economy, showcasing remarkable growth and resilience over the past decade.

UK Automotive sector could fuel £50bn green growth - SMMT
The UK automotive sector has the potential to fuel £50bn of green growth in the right conditions, according to a new analysis from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.?
The research from the SMMT suggests that targeted policies would enable the new car market value to grow from just over £70bn a year today to almost £80bn every year over the next decade, with more than 17 million fossil fuel cars replaced by zero-emission vehicles by the end of 2035.?
At the same time, more than a million EV cars and vans could be rolling off production lines every year, increasing the sector's value by 5 per cent over the current outlook.
Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week was the busiest ever
Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week (SMEW) 2024 was the busiest ever, drawing a record number of 13,428 attendees, an increase of 30% on 2023.
