Mantra #1: Let creatives create.

I often get asked:

Who do you target? Who are your customers?

For us it’s simple: those who create, and those who approve the creative.

In fact, these two customer types extend right across an organization. From those creating brand material, PowerPoint presentations, websites, strategic documents, annual reports, HTML emails, videos, packaging designs, new logos, new entire brands...everyone in a corporate organization or an agency seems to either create, or review work.

Solving problems

At PageProof we not only focus on how to provide a simple, fast way for reviewers to give feedback on work, but we also look at how we can improve clarity and remove cumbersome, repetitive tasks for creatives. This is all part of our mantra of letting creatives do what they do best, create.

If we can automate creating a print-ready pdf, then we will. If we can create proofs of as many file types as we can, then we will. And if we can retrieve comments and lay them over artwork files, along with their reference pins, then we will.

One app for a simple life

For creatives using Adobe Creative Cloud, our add-on does all this and more. With the one add-on we support five Adobe applications: InDesign, InCopy, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro (and soon, even more).

Quickly get work out

Firstly, sending out files as online proofs is a breeze: click create new proof, choose a workflow and push send. For Adobe InDesign users, we automatically create a print-ready PDF on the way through, something that every designer is forced to do if they manually send files around via email. For the other apps, the native file is used, however for reviewers, they only need a browser to view the proof of your work – the frustrations of sharing files in formats the receiver can’t open is eliminated immediately.

Quickly receive the feedback

Not all proofs are perfect first time round either, so when a to-do list is returned we retrieve each to-do and reference the exact position on the file where the reviewer was referring. This clarity ensures there is no ambiguity, changes are made efficiently and quickly marked as done – all with the designer not leaving their design tool.

Deliver on the mantra

Our add-on together with PageProof shapes an automated and seamless process to which comes huge benefits for those being asked for feedback, and those addressing that feedback. Shaving off time throughout the creative sign-off process comes back to delivering on our mantra of letting creatives do what they do best: create.
