With gender diversity taking centre stage in all typically male-dominated industries it comes as quite a shock that the finance industry is the one which is taking longest to catch up with the new trends for a more gender equal workforce.

Although proven improvement is noted across the industry as a whole, it is still the unconscious bias which threatens the development of women into senior roles. 

Much research has suggested that a diverse workforce encourages both innovation and stability whilst ensuring a company is agile and reactive to outside threats. Different views and opinions allow for more bases to be covered across the business when a larger diversity of people are involved.

As with all change, it's important to recognise and celebrate those who are at the forefront of a new way of working and we are therefore delighted and honoured to host the annual Women in Finance Awards. We ask that you put forward your peers in the industry for the awards by nominating through the website.
