Manipulating Time

While I was on my trip, I had a LOT of time to read on the plane.

I finally got to dive back into reading 10X is Easier Than 2X. This is the book that the universe has been screaming at me to read since I started this challenge. In the beginning, almost every single person I told about it recommended this book to me lol

I only made it through the first chapter before Guinevere Ellis ?? recommended I read the Power of the Subconscious Mind. I took her advice and am glad that I did but that's why it's taken me 6 months to start reading this book!

Well, I guess the real reason I've been so slow to read this book is that I've been terrible about reading. But then, our mastermind started a 30-day challenge that I'm using to kickstart my daily reading habit. So now I'm flying through books : )

My thoughts

Anyway, I'm about 2/3rds of the way into this book and I now get why it came so highly recommended by so many people! It's entirely about the subconscious mind - it's everything I've been learning this year and very on par with my goal to manifest a million dollars.

I just really like the way this book describes the concepts it references. It feels very rooted in the physical world but extremely tactical for leveraging the subconscious power within us. The book keeps getting better as you read as it delves deeper into the mind.

I'm currently reading through Dan's concepts of time, using the two perspectives rooted in Greek - chronos and kairos.

It's a wonderful way to explain the difference between being present and absent from flow state. Chronos is chronological, less present, often busy, and not productive. Kairos is the state of flow and being present in the moment. It's when time slows and everything in the world becomes increasingly beautiful and magical. It's where we do our best work and live our best lives.

I especially like this concept because I feel like it gives me more control over how I live my life. This idea that I can control the flow of time through my state of mind, for some reason, makes it seem more attainable to me. Like it's a switch that I can train myself to turn on and off.

This concept is explained to better understand a framework for how to live a more fulfilling and impactful life. Ben and Dan talk about the importance of rest and relaxation and it's justifying SO much for me right now in my head! I'm incredibly good at separating work from play and have been for as long as I can remember. Now I have a better way to explain why that's so important and why I have made that such a priority in my life : )

I can already see some changes I need to make to my schedule. I see MANY more tasks I need to delegate and where and how I should be spending my time.

I'm already really good at managing and prioritizing my time but I can see a quantum leap improvement about to happen here!
