Manifesting Your Dreams - Stay Ready.
Scrolling through social media, I came across this video of a young man who was called on stage to play Monkeywrench with the Foo Fighters, in Austin, TX. I’ll spare you the, "we all dream of being on stage with our favorite artist" commentary.
Anyway, the description said "the Kiss Guy nails it.” Naturally, I wanted to see for myself so I proceeded to watch the clip (link below). The video starts and there was some dialogue (which included some adult language), then there was a moment when we all knew (including Dave Grohl), something epic was about to happen. This guy, in front of thousands of people, pulls out his own guitar pick. From there he did not disappoint.
It. Was. Epic. And he nailed it.
“when the time to perform arrives, the time to prepare has passed.”?~ unknown
The young man whose name was later revealed as Yayo Sanchez, was ready. He positioned himself and came prepared. He did not throw away his shot. Thanks to YouTube always eager to play that next video, I came across a post from 2009 of Yayo being interviewed. He talked about meeting Slash (hence the makeup), and how he was one of his biggest music influences, then he mentioned Dave Grohl as being a huge inspiration as well.

Let that sink in. Talk about manifesting your dreams...
Now we don’t know the road that Yayo traveled to get to this point. What we do know is, he had the heart 9 years later, to get on stage and show his hometown, and anyone who finds this now viral video, when you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready. There’s this quote my first ever basketball coach used to say before every practice, “when the time to perform arrives, the time to prepare has passed.”?
If/when you finally have YOUR opportunity, don’t just be happy to be there, or let it slip away. Nail it.?
