Do you believe in karma?
I think most people do. I do.
What about manifestation? Can you manifest your future?
Yes, I'm confident you can.
I’ve recently spoken to a few like-minded people who all believe they manifested the life they currently have. So what do they mean? What is manifestation?
The Definition of Manifestation
Manifestation is the process of bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief. It is the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and energy can shape our reality.
But I have my own definition. Manifestation is about designing and creating your life through having a vision of what it looks like and taking intentional action toward it. It’s not magic. It’s clarity, focus, and execution.
The Power of Vision
Manifestation starts with having a vision of your future. It begins in your mind. Think about what you want your life to look like. Be specific. Where are you living? What does your house look like? Who are you married to? What’s your net worth? What’s your job title? How much money is in your investment account?
"To get somewhere, you need to know where you are going."
The CEO Mindset: Manifestation in Action
Every great CEO has a vision, not just for the world but more importantly for their company. As a CEO, I believe you can manifest a successful growth company. You envision what the company looks like in five years—how many employees you have, where your headquarters are located, your revenue, your flagship product, and the category you emerge as #1 in. The CEO's vision drives their behavior but also the behavior and intent of all the company's employees. Manifestation is not passive; it is an active, deliberate mindset that aligns actions with outcomes.
The Timeless Theory of Manifestation
Manifestation is not a new concept. Earl Nightingale, a pioneer in self-development, famously said, "You are what you think." He believed that our thoughts shape our realities and that manifestation is simply the deliberate control of our mental focus.
Rhonda Byrne, the author of The Secret, popularized the idea that our thoughts attract our outcomes, stating that the law of attraction governs success and happiness.
Richard Branson, the CEO and founder of Virgin, believes in the power of visualization, emphasizing that seeing a clear picture of what you want is the first step toward achieving it.
Elon Musk—love him or hate him—has very powerful visions of the future and seems to be able to build companies around him that manifest that vision. He publicly shares his seemingly outrageous dreams, and then step by step, brings them to life.
How to Start Manifesting
So, how do you begin manifesting? Here are a couple of simple ways:
A Call to Action: Design Your Future
If you’re young, I’m jealous. The world is your oyster. But even if you’re in midlife or approaching retirement, it’s not too late to design your life. I have a very clear picture of my next 10 years. Hell, I even have a vision for my 70s. It’s going to be amazing.
But here’s the key—manifestation alone is not enough. You have to combine it with hard work, discipline, and strategic action. It’s not just wishful thinking; it’s a blueprint for success. Visualization is only the beginning—what follows is consistent effort, deliberate decision-making, and persistence. Manifestation works when thoughts fuel actions, and actions drive results.
Where am I today? Exactly where I thought I’d be. Did I manifest it? 100%.
