Manhattanville

In high school I didn’t get good grades, so when it came to finding a College that would accept me, it was difficult. Don’t get me wrong, I put 110% into my work, I just never could absorb it for tests. But two people changed the course of my life and helped me get into Manhattanville, my guidance counselor Michael Acquilano and the Dean of Admissions at the time, Jose Flores.

The agreement was that I was going to be put on Academic review for my first year. Well, that was rocket fuel for my engine…I remember writing on top of my acceptance letter in big black letters – DEANS LIST. I was determined to not only take advantage of this opportunity but to show everyone I would make them proud. Oh and by the way, I would be the first person in my family to graduate from College.???????

Throughout my time at Manhattanville I met some incredible friends and had many unforgettable moments that I will carry with me forever.???????

To bring everything full circle, I did get dean’s list and it felt amazing!! I did graduate with a BA in Management and Computer Science and I’m excited to announce that Manhattanville just posted an ‘Alumni Spotlight’ article on me today! ????
