Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Launches Youth Leadership Program
Manhattan Area Chamber Of Commerce
A nonprofit organization working to support the business development of MHK to make it a better place to live and work.
The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of its new Youth Leadership Manhattan program, designed to cultivate the next generation of business and community leaders in the Manhattan area. This initiative builds upon the success of the Chamber's long-established Leadership Manhattan program for professionals, extending similar opportunities to high school sophomores.
The mission of the Youth Leadership Manhattan program is to ensure the vitality of our community by creating a pipeline of skilled, motivated, and community-minded young leaders who are ready to contribute meaningfully to the workforce, engage actively in civic affairs, and drive positive change in the Manhattan community. The Chamber’s goal is to showcase various educational and career opportunities to the students in hopes that they consider the Manhattan region as a place to grow personally and professionally in the future.
?
Participants will engage in various real-world experiences, including workshops, site visits to local businesses, and community service projects. These sessions will complement students’ education by giving them a thorough understanding of the local economic ecosystem and community dynamics. The program offers numerous benefits, such as leadership training, workplace skills, and guidance from professionals as they learn about the importance of working on social and community issues.
