What the hell? Having already booked our annual holiday to the North Island to visit family, we planned to spend three days in this hotel in Masterton.

It is the only place we stay every time we visit the area. It is my preferred hotel and not only that, I have shares in the hotel chain too.

Now I'm not so sure. Why the hell is this government so hell bent on discriminating against those who made a choice of their own free will? Why are people so afraid of the unvaccinated when it's clear that the vaccinated can still carry and transmit the virus?

This has gone beyond who has or has not, it has now become a divisional exercise to belittle, discriminate, victimize, segregate and blame a small minority of our population.

THIS HAS TO STOP!!!!! THIS IS NOT US!!!!!


NO “MY VACCINE PASS”= NO STAY

Copthorne Solway Park has been designated a close contact business and as of December 15th, 2021 all hotel guests will require a valid vaccine pass certificate to stay with us.

The reservation holder is responsible to ensure the entire group in the booking will have “my vaccine pass” available on arrival to be scanned or have a printed vaccine pass certificate.

Children under the age of 12 at the time of their visit will not be required to show proof of vaccination.

During your stay - you may be requested by a member of the team to scan your certificate when visiting the restaurant, bar or conference venue.?

Please note, that the Purple Card Certificate issued at the time of vaccination will not be accepted as proof - you will need to have the “My Vaccine Pass”.

NO “MY VACCINE PASS”= NO STAY AND NO VISITING

We acknowledge that not everyone wishes to be vaccinated against Covid-19. However, in order to properly operate, Copthorne Solway Park is bound by NZ Government legislation.?Once the Covid-19 Protection Framework is put in place until such time that the NZ Government lifts the vaccination restrictions for accommodation and hospitality providers, you will not be able to stay or attend an event, like a wedding, at Copthorne Solway Park if you cannot provide proof of vaccination on arrival.?No refunds will be given if there is a failure to comply.

?COVID-19 “NO VACCINATION”?CANCELLATIONS

We are providing as much notice as we can. This is to allow you time?to cancel your current booking if you wish to.?If you currently have an accommodation booking with a date of stay from 15 December 2021?-?1 April 2022, you can cancel your booking with no penalty up until December 10th, 2021 if you have booked direct.??Otherwise our existing cancellation policy or the cancellation policy of the third party of whom you have booked with will apply.

?SAFETY MEASURES

Please see the list of safety measures we will have in place. We ask that you kindly comply with these guidelines. On arrival we will provide you with information on any updated measures required at the time of your stay.?

MY VACCINE PASS |?Will be required from December 15th , 2021 for all guests 12 years +

CONTACTLESS PAYMENT |?Please use the paywave machines to limit contact when paying.

QR CODE SCANNING |?Scanning the QR code and registering all guests, and visitors, on arrival at Copthorne Solway Park is mandatory for contact tracing purposes. Please use the sanitisers provided.

SOCIAL DISTANCING |?Please follow requests for social distancing and mask-wearing as determined by the guidelines throughout the duration of your stay.

HAND HYGIENE |?Proper and frequent handwashing and the use of sanitisers will help combat the spread of any viruses.

GUEST ROOMS |?We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with special attention paid to high-touch surfaces.?

SHARED SPACES |?We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting our shared spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, door handles, public bathrooms, kitchens, laundry, and room keys. We kindly ask you to consider your fellow guests and our team by wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, using the sanitisers provided, disposing of all rubbish in the bins, and taking all your personal items with you.

RESTAURANTS & BAR |?We will be operating under NZ Government regulations at all times. Please follow us on social media to stay up to date with opening details.

BACK OF HOUSE |?In the spaces where team members work “behind the scenes”, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch surfaces.

WELLNESS |?While we will do everything we can to ensure your stay with us is safe, we would kindly ask you to follow NZ Ministry of Health Guidelines and stay at home if:

·????????you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19?

·????????you have visited a location of interest

·????????you have visited a Government COVID-19 MIQ within the last 14 days prior to your stay
