Managing Stress – my free online course

Managing Stress – my free online course

In the past weeks, I mentioned the power of silence a few times on my feed. The reason for that was my involvement in a series of lectures organized by the "Business Women Network." I contributed to their program with a talk on "Stress Management and the Power of Silence."

Since the feedback has been a big positive for me. I decided to create a small online class based on this lecture. During these stressful times of a pandemic and lockdowns and hence the increase in home office hours and digital processes in our workday, it is apparent that we seek an anchor to balance ourselves.

Find the joy of being yourself in 6 steps

The class is structured in six online sessions that teach the participants about the following topics:

-     Awareness

-     How we perceive the world

-     Being at home in your body

-     How to cope with Stress

-     Awareness of your triggers

-     Welcome feelings

As you probably already noticed by the titles of the modules, it's my main goal to teach how to blend out distractions and being confident through learning how to enjoy being yourself. Besides my own experiences and theories on awareness, ease, and mediation, the course is based on the "Stress Reduction and Relaxation Program" by Prof. Dr. Jon Kabat-Zin and the Center of Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society of the University of Massachusetts, US. So far, it has been a success, and I am more than happy about all the positive feedback from the participants.

Compensate yourself and others

Besides learning about the little things, such as a daily body scan routine, the enjoyment of things we take for granted, or knowing what and how to eat, I set up the course to give the participants the possibility. The course is free of financial charge, but I encourage all participants to join my EHWDA Initiative (Eine Hand w?scht die Andere – One hand washes the other) by organizing and delivering Christmas packages for people in need. Making an effort for someone else's wellbeing is a cornerstone of awareness.

Why am I telling this here and now? I would love to continue this work, and I even give it a chance to grow. If you are interested in the class, please let me know. I'd love to start the second run right after New Year's Eve. If you have ideas that could contribute to the topic, please reach out to me, and let's get together in a digital room… with ease.
