We focused on two businesses:?

Real companies.

Fake names.

Comco?

- Employed 106,000 people in 55 countries.?

- Was a public sector organisation that was privatised.

- Had been developing work on sexual orientation "since the early 1980s.”?

Consultco

- Employed?nearly 400,000?people in?170?countries.?

- Described as an example of Corporate US-led development of?Sexual Orientation?work.?

- Responded to?“demands”?and?“pushing”?from employees.

Public Sector Organisations:?

- Driven by Social Justice arguments

- Institutions drive their?Sexual Orientation?agenda?

Private Sector Organisations:?

- Driven by Business Case arguments

- Employees drive their?Sexual Orientation?agenda?

Here’s one of my takeaways:

Don’t ignore the Public Sector.?

The author described them as pioneers in this space.?

Well?established policies and procedures were indicative of a Public Sector history in the paper.?
