Managing projects is Managing people
Dan Misra in conversation with Dr Csaba Harcz

Managing projects is Managing people

In this discussion with Dr Csaba Harcz - available here: https://youtu.be/bie3SxE23eA - we discuss what skills and sense greatly increase the chances of project success. We also discuss factors and criteria that drive project success - and the very definition of project success.

Traditionally the "iron triangle" of cost, schedule and scope benefits defined whether a project is successful or not.

However Dr Harcz points out high-profile examples where the iron triangle was not satisfied and yet the project would never be considered a failure and, on the contrary, a resounding success.

This conversation is peppered with real examples and anecdotes of drivers of project success.

As Dr Harcz explains, most professionals are involved in managing projects even if their title is not "Project Manager". Managing projects is managing and leading, which are two different things, the people who deliver the project outcomes.

I hope you enjoy watching this interview as much as I enjoyed the conversation!
