Known knowns and known unknowns no excuse for suggesting their are any "Unforeseeable Hazards or Risks" in the workplace.
Even the 2007 HSE Better Display Screen RR 561 was based on a Meta Analysis of previous decades of research, even if, they didn't know how to prevent or at least mitigate the risks until later.
In this case over a decade later under the euphemism of a new disease "Presenteeism" as 58% of DSE Operators were carrying-on regardless of "visual, cognitive and mental stressors" presenting in debilitating injuries and disabilities before taking time-off sick to recover, receive treat for and/or rehabilitation only to return to the same ole, same old workplace stressors.
Anyone would think work was like Shampoo, if at first it doesn't work "repeat" until life completely changed in the case or work.
2019 should or aught to have seen an effectively disruptive and immediate change in the mitigation even prevention of what has become the "norm" in the 21st Century for the majority of DSE operators suffering debilitating repetitive stress injuries and the necessity to Work from Home should not have interrupted that.
Nevertheless it did so, what now ? Wait for someone else to adopt compliance with DSE Accessibility Regulations and Standards or get with the program and be part of the solution versus problem?
