How are your managing your keys in your multi-cloud environment? Do you have a KeyMaker?
Enterprises, adopting a multi-cloud strategy choose to use their cloud providers’ native encryption solutions to protect their data – this poses a number of problems around managing keys, storing them becomes a nightmare.
Thales CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager provides the centralized, multi-cloud key management needed to solve the problem.
It includes centralized, multi-cloud key control and management for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS use. Supporting Microsoft Azure Key Vault(includes Microsoft Office 365 support), Amazon Key Management Service (available in December) and Salesforce Shield Platform Encryption, the Cloud Key Manager enables encryption, access control, key management, key activity logs and more for all the applications and environments that are supported by these services.
This solution is just one element of the data security offerings that Thales brings to enterprises today. Offerings that make it easy and efficient to manage data-at-rest security across your entire organization with advanced encryption, tokenization and centralized key management.
You won’t need to manage the encryption, key management and access control to your cloud data separately from the rest of your environment. It can all be done on one platform from Thales.

7 年Based on my research, Cloud Foundry does a lot of interactions with cloud services but does not appear to operate with Cloud “BYOK“ services for the purpose of allowing cloud customers to manage their own encryption keys. You mentioned credentials, and yes, they’re quite important, but CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager does not manage credentials. Rather, CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager utilizes BYOK services to deliver key generation, separation of duties, reporting, and key lifecycle management that help fulfill internal and industry data protection mandates. It allows you to separate encryption keys from data encryption and decryption operations for compliance, best security practices and control of your data. We are also working with your team on a technology partnership. __________________________________________

7 年Mmmh. Why a separate tool just for key management? My recommendation would be Cloud Foundry: it offers secure credential rotation and many other amazing things you will benefit from in a DevOps and Multi-Cloud architecture already today and out-of-the-box.
