As we get ready to celebrate Celtic Spring or Imbolc, I wanted to share an experience with you that you may be able to connect with myself and Brian were looking at photographs a few days ago of journeys and travel and experiences that we've had. And I was looking at the photographs, and something occurred to me……I thought to myself ‘Oh my God I remember that particular time, and I actually remember myself being really hard on myself around appearance’
Tiny little things like, ‘look at your arms’ or ‘look at your hair’ or whatever. And it suddenly struck me that I will never have that time back again. I was so hard on myself at the time………And I think this is an experience that a lot of us share. We look back and realise (this can be a tough one to contemplate!) that we will never be as young or as energetic or as vital as we are in this present moment! OUCH!
And we spend so much time beating ourselves up and criticizing ourselves. To actually be grateful for that time and understand that we need to be kind to ourselves, we need to be compassionate to ourselves. Time is so fleeting…….
In my mind, I'm linking that with an article I read over the weekend where an artist was sharing three pieces of advice that her dad had given her. The three pieces of advice he'd given her were:-
·??????Get on with it!
·??????Change it!
·??????or Get Out!
It struck me as it links to the 3 D’s that I frequently share as part of resilience awareness. Do it, Delegate it or Ditch it!

I'm always curious about different access points into the same idea or concept or experience. So….. for those of you who may be contemplating a need to change let’s just sit with those three things for a moment.
·??????Is it something that you just need to get on with?
·??????Is it something that you need to change?
·??????Or is it something that you need to get out?
That could be a relationship, a professional role, or perhaps it's a mindset or a behavior? Consider?for yourself…… do you need to get on with it, change it or get out?
As we contemplate the next few days as enter into the phase of Celtic Spring or Imbolc which is 1st February and things are changing? I'm a great believer in learning from nature.
What do you need to change for yourself? What do you need to take responsibility and accountability for? You will never have this moment back again and you will never have the same energy and the same youth and the same enthusiasm as you will have today. So seize it, and go forward!
