- Listings of the same product in different sectors of the Amazon marketplace are called Duplicate Products.
- Amazon prohibits the creation of Duplicate Products as they negatively impact the sales potential of the original retailer, dilute reviews, and confuse customers.
- Duplicate product pages in the Amazon catalog create confusion for customers and make it difficult for them to make purchasing decisions.
- If you have Duplicate Products in your inventory, you can merge them to create a single product page.
- To merge product pages, the products must have the same product identifier (UPC, EAN, or ISBN), package quantity, product brand, and physical attributes (color, size, fragrance).
- If the product pages have the same attributes, you can request Amazon to merge them by opening a case.
- To open a case, download the Merge Form from the Support Center on Vendor Central, find it under the "Selling Your Products" header, and complete the relevant information on the form.
- Once the form is completed, go to the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the Support Center on Vendor Central, choose your business group, and select "Duplicates" under the "Manage My Catalog" section.
- Open the case and request Amazon to remove/merge the Duplicate Products to match your ASIN.
