Managing Director / CEO, Critical Minerals - Latin America

Overview:

Our client, a listed critical minerals development company with Latin America-based projects, is seeking a Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer to lead the ongoing growth and expansion of the company. The ideal candidate will come from a metallurgical or process engineering background, with an intimate understanding of the project development lifecycle, extraction processes and project studies associated with the advancement of mining and minerals projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the company's development, marketing and promotional efforts for key critical metals projects in Latin America;
• Develop and implement the companies strategic plan to maximize the value of company projects;
• Oversee the delivery of project studies, environmental assessments, and community engagement plans;
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, government officials, and community leaders;
• Ensure that the project adheres to environmental, health and safety, and corporate social responsibility standards;
• Manage the company's finances, including budgets, fundraising, and investor relations requirements;
• Build and lead a high-performing team to support the delivery of key project milestones;
• Travel as required to represent the company in public forums, including conferences, media interviews, and regulatory hearings.??

Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree qualified in a mineral extraction-related field (Chemical, Process or Metallurgical Engineering);
• Notable leadership experience in mining and minerals project development activities;
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental, health and safety, and corporate social responsibility standards.
