Managerial 'MAGNA CARTA' on the majestic launch of MAGNA School, Hyderabad

"Education is the key to unlocking the world, a passport to freedom", observed Oprah Winfrey.

But entrepreneurial education is the master key to unlocking the world's pressing socio-tech mysteries/challenges and indeed a passport to individual financial freedom, group emancipation, organizational autonomy, societal self-sufficiency and national sovereignty when one considers all the myriad layers+actors and peel down the multiple facets.

Against the background of ever growing importance of #entrepreneurshipeducation, indeed it is ?? exciting news to share the launch of MAGNA School!

Last Sunday evening at T-Hub in #happeninghyderabad witnessed not only early monsoon showers, but also "the few good men" in #ecosystembuilding in the Pearl City, showering/sharing their wealth of wisdom in #entrepreneurshipeducation #entrepreneurlife #entrepreneurialjourney

The 5 hour program launch event (energetically and effortlessly facilitated by Sri Charan Lakkaraju in a daper green blazer and with many jocular self-references) and led and keynoted by Shailu Tipparaju sir has 60 plus movers and shakers in #startup world engaged in a freewheeling discussion about the 1. innate #entrepeneurialmindset, 2. practical (non-academic) brainstorming about pedagogic and student centric teaching practices and 3. getting a peek into the unique educational experiment in designing and developing an innovative Entrepreneurial Higher Educational Institution! ????

Super thrilled to share my 2 cents in a 3 minute talk and ???? it is with immense pride and excitement that I got a small part to play as they embark on this transformative journey of empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators in India, Bangladesh and USA.

My 2 cents:

1. India and the world per se needs more intersection of Techies and Fuzzies.. By examining the ideas presented in books like Range by David Epstein and The Fuzzy and the Techie by Scott Hartley, we can gain insights into how the tech and business sectors can leverage a combination of technical expertise and diverse knowledge to drive innovation and achieve long-term success. Hartley highlights the critical thinking, creativity, and empathy that fuzzies bring to the table, enabling them to offer unique perspectives and insights
2. Higher education needs to end the lopsided fetish with STEM disciplines alone and embrace Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HAAS) stack
3. Entrepreneurs and aspirants need to be taught more diverese and well curated 'non examples' and 'failure stories' than selected examples and successes alone.

Decoding the managerial MAGNA CARTA (it no less historical than the 1215 document in UK, situated in the context of higher education :-)

P.S/AfterThought: Just like the old Magna Carta that limited the power of the English monarchy and established certain rights for the nobility and freemen, which later influenced the development of constitutional law, this managerial and entrepreneurial education/movement will limit the power of traditional and non-actionable higher education. Surely it will influence the development of more educational and teaching experiments that are student centric, industry supported and outcome driven in #entrepreneurship. Cheers
