In 18th century famous economist “Adam Smith” described about the division of labor to enhance the efficiencies. That mean workforce organized based on the tasks. However, in the 19th century more attention goes to improve efficiencies by reducing the labor use while standardizing and process streamlining.
Specially during the mid of 20th century, added new of many fields in to the study of management. Psychology applied to study about how people work. Statistical analysis came in to account to understand the performance of the process. Ergonomics concepts applied to enhance the workers and machinery safes as well as enhance the effectiveness and efficiencies.
In 21st century, accelerated the changes. New technologies came in to account, rather than commanding the work force to conduct the activities, concept called “Engagement” came in to the account. Team work, Networking and more other concepts also in placed during this time. ?
