Management thoughts
In today's world, the value of an employee is determined not only by the quality and importance of the work done by him, but also by who he or she is in the team, how his presence or absence affects the general mood in the team.
Many high-paid employees will disagree with this statement, insisting that the contribution of a quality employee to the development of the company is so great that his personal qualities will not have a certain value, and doesn't matter how they interfere with the work of others ...in my opinion this may not matter only in the short time perspective.
In fact, the success of any team in the long term perspective depends on the work and contribution of both employees in the highest and most important positions, and employees who have just started work or are engaged in less important processes.
Success is the integrity and interconnectedness of the "Team"
The role that today is assigned to management employees is often understood as being able to correctly prioritize, choose methods of communication within the team and the company as a whole, understand the needs of employees, be able to compare the interests of the company, customers and employees and so on.
These are all very important aspects, but it is not always clear how to achieve this and it is definitely not possible to implement it everywhere.
I know from my own experience that not everyone is ready to make changes, not everyone is ready to listen to criticism, and certainly not everyone is ready to change their usual way of working and management methods.
In order to create conditions and be able to bring the best traditions of internal culture into the collective, all you need is to be able to create an atmosphere of trust - that's all you need!
I will highlight the three most important aspects in my opinion, from which you can start building trust within the team:
discipline
punctuality
mutual engagement
So let’s start.
Managers usually have the heaviest workload in a company. Because of this demand, it is necessary for them to be aware of how to manage their time wisely. Moreover, managers should also teach their employees important management traits such as discipline and punctuality. Outside of just being superiors, managers should also act as role models and set good examples.
Being fair and just at all times is a must.
Discipline encourages employees to behave properly and in an acceptable way in the workplace. This normally includes adhering to the rules and regulations of the company or organization. On the other hand, punctuality ensures that employees to report to work daily, go to work on time and complete their work on schedule.
Punctuality is the characteristic of being able to complete a required task or fulfill an obligation before or at a previously designated time. "Punctual" is often used synonymously with "on time". It is also acceptable that punctual can, when talking about grammar, mean "to be accurate".
Punctuality displays a person's respect for people and time
Many people work from home these days, to them punctuality means being available online during office hours, logging in into meetings punctually, and meeting project deadlines.
Discipline provides people with rules to live their lives efficiently and effectively. When you have discipline in your life you can make small sacrifices in the present for a better life in the future. Discipline creates habits, habits make routines, and routines become who you are daily. As with most relationships, the work relationship between the employer and employee should function on the basis of trust and understanding to maintain discipline. Discipline is often described as the foundation on which any workplace functions and the enforcement of discipline will lead to a more productive and less stressful atmosphere.
Discipline = a peaceful workplace!
When no specific guidelines regarding conduct are in place it often leads to uncertainty and an impulsive and erratic workplace. Discipline also ensures safety in a workplace.
The growth of an organization depends on the creation of strong cultural environments. This, in turn, represents their values and virtues. Company culture encompasses the collective values, beliefs and principles of the employees within an organization.
The problem is, everyone talks about company culture as if it is something that simply evolves naturally within an organization.
Without positive forces pushing a company toward a healthy company culture, the path of least resistance is often a toxic workplace. In thermodynamics, entropy tells us that systems tend to gradually decline into disorder. This principle can be applied to companies — unless forces are constantly pushing the company culture toward a positive structure, you can expect the culture to decay into disorder. Healthy company culture is one of the driving forces behind engagement. Employees who are engaged and feel confident in their employer's products and services tend to work harder and perform better. A good work ethic and elevated performance inevitably breed successful outcomes. The culture at your organization sets expectations for how people behave and work together, and how well they function as a team. A healthy work culture is always work in progress. It is always evolving and changing. Work culture holds the same importance as the business strategy of an organization. This is what will shape the working atmosphere of any organization.
Managers may need to make challenging decisions such as whether to reassign an employee who produces a low-quality work to a different task or dismiss them from a project. Controlling is the process of evaluating the execution of the plan and making adjustments to ensure that the organizational goal is achieved. During the controlling stage, managers perform tasks such as training employees as necessary and managing deadlines. Managers monitor employees and evaluate the quality of their work. They can conduct performance appraisals and give employees feedback, providing positive remarks on what they are doing well and suggestions for improvement. They may also offer pay raise incentives to high-performing employees. In each stage - Being fair and just at all times is a must.
