In this Management Minute we are going to explore Tier 2 (T2) Management.
T2 management are responsible for setting objectives in line with Executive Management’s goals, and for planning and implementing strategies to achieve them. T2 managers hold positions like Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Operations Manager, etc.
T2 Managers are responsible for:
1. Setting objectives in line with Executive Management’s goals, and for planning and implementing strategies to achieve them
2. Coordinate and link departments within the organisation
3. Monitoring and Managing Departments and Managers that report to them
4. Facilitating the implementation of strategies or changes implemented by Executive Management
SNAPSHOT: T2 Management are responsible for Strategy Implementation, Divisional Performance, Coordination and Resources
ACTION POINTS:
1. As Executive Management, are your Goals being effectively communicated to the T2 Management?
2. As a T2 Manager, can you clearly & concisely re-communicate the organisational goals and strategies to achieve them?
