?? Management of Electrical Energy: Analysis and Strategies of Effepierre Spa ??
In line with our commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, we have analyzed data on electrical energy management over the past years, focusing on three key aspects: self-produced energy from renewable sources, purchased energy, and energy fed into the grid. The results show a significant improvement in our performance, driven by targeted investments and strategies aimed at optimizing consumption and reducing environmental impact.
?? Reducing Dependence on Purchased Energy ??
Since November 2019, the company has been equipped with an initial photovoltaic panel system with a capacity of 13.5 kWh.
From 2020 to 2023, our renewable energy production remained steady but remained lower than purchased energy. In 2020, self-produced energy reached 19,362 kWh, while purchased energy amounted to 81,942 kWh, resulting in a self-produced/purchased ratio of 0.236. This meant that most of our energy needs still depended on external suppliers.
In 2021 and 2022, we maintained stable production while purchased energy saw minimal fluctuations. However, in 2023, following another energy efficiency intervention involving acquiring a new cooling unit, we achieved an initial improvement, reducing purchased energy to 69,816 kWh while internal production reached 17,556 kWh, bringing the self-produced/purchased ratio to 0.251.
The real turning point came in 2024, when, thanks to an increase of over 55 kWh in the production capacity of our photovoltaic system and improved energy management, we managed to produce 64,800 kWh autonomously, reducing purchased energy to 51,433 kWh.
? For the first time, our self-produced/purchased energy ratio exceeded the value of 1 (1.259), marking a crucial step towards greater energy independence.
?? Energy Fed into the Grid: A Strategic Milestone ??
In 2024, we reached a production capacity that allowed us to generate 30,279 kWh of excess energy, which was fed into the national power grid.
?? This milestone highlights how our investments in renewable energy systems have yielded tangible results, enabling us not only to cover an increasing portion of our energy needs with self-produced energy but also to contribute to the sustainability of the electrical system as a whole.
?? The self-produced/fed-into-the-grid energy ratio in 2024 stands at 2.14, confirming that more than half of the energy generated was used internally, while a significant portion was made available for external consumption.
?? Energy Efficiency: Goal Achieved ??
The analysis of the collected data allows us to confirm the validity of our strategic choices and to look to the future with the awareness that we have taken the right actions for increasingly efficient management.
?? Our commitment to energy self-sufficiency and sustainability will continue to be a priority for Effepierre Spa in the coming years.
