- MOC, or Management of Change, is a structured approach designed to manage changes that could impact safety within the workplace. It ensures that every alteration, whether small or large, is carefully evaluated to maintain a safe environment for all. The primary goal of MOC is to understand how changes can affect safety and to implement them in a way that enhances overall safety standards.
- Safety Manager: The Safety Manager oversees the entire MOC process, ensuring that all changes are properly assessed and approved before implementation.
- Accountable Manager: This individual is responsible for giving the final approval for changes, making sure they align with established safety standards.
- Maintenance Team: The maintenance team plays a crucial role in identifying potential changes and implementing them safely to avoid any compromise to safety.
- Identify the Change: The process begins by recognizing any change that could potentially impact safety. This could range from procedural adjustments to the introduction of new equipment.
- Assess the Impact: Once a change is identified, it's essential to evaluate the potential safety risks associated with it.
- Risk Assessment: For significant changes, a detailed risk assessment is conducted to fully understand the implications.
- Implementation: After the change is approved, it is implemented with careful monitoring to ensure that it is safely integrated into operations.
- Evaluation: Regular reviews of the implemented change are necessary to ensure it does not introduce new risks and continues to uphold safety standards.
- Observation: Stay vigilant in your work environment. If you notice something that could be improved or poses a risk, report it immediately.
- Process Adherence: When suggesting or implementing changes, always follow the MOC process to ensure safety is not compromised.
- Safety Focus: Prioritize safety above all when proposing or making changes, ensuring that any modifications contribute to a safer workplace.
- MOC is more than just a process—it's a commitment to maintaining and improving safety in the workplace. It requires a collaborative effort from everyone involved, as safety is a shared responsibility. By making MOC a natural part of our daily operations, we not only uphold safety standards but also contribute to ongoing improvements that benefit the entire organization.

3 周The MoC process should owned by the Organisation, the Safety Manager should be a stakeholder in the process, they shouldn't necessarily be responsible for the process implementation. It is the responsibility of the change owner to ensure the process is followed.
