Manage Microsoft Entra ID Identities

Create and configure Entra ID users

1. In the Azure portal, search for and select?Microsoft Entra ID.

2. Navigate to the?Users - All users?blade, and then click?+ New user.

3. Create a new user by filling in the fields on the Basics, Properties and Assignments tabs.

4. In the?Manage?section, click?Assigned roles, then click?+ Add assignment?button and assign the?necessary?role to?the user you want. In our example, User Administrator".

Create Entra ID groups with dynamic membership

1. In the Azure portal, navigate to the?Overview?blade of the Entra ID tenant and click?Groups.

2. Use the?+ New group?button to create a new group by filling in the fields.

3.?In the field Membership type, select Dynamic User to create a dynamic group.

4.?Click?Add dynamic query.

5.?On the?Configure Rules?tab of the?Dynamic membership rules?blade, create a new rule with the necessary settings for your needs.

6.?Save the rule by clicking?+Add expression?and?Save. Back on the?New Group?blade, click?Create.

Create Entra ID groups with assigned membership

1. In the Azure portal, navigate to the?Overview?blade of the Entra ID tenant and click?Groups.

2.?Use the?+ New group?button to create a new group by filling in the fields.

3.?In the field Membership type, select Assigned to create an assigned group.

4.?Click?No members selected.

5.?From the Add members blade, search, and select the users you need.

6. Click the Select button. Back on the New Group blade, click Create.
