Many Are Call, But Few are Chosen

God would like to see all the people be saved. Yet Jesus said the saved will be very few. Jesus also say that God so love the world that He sent His only Son to die on the cross, that who so ever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life? So, what is the problem?
Just before the risen Jesus left this world, He said to His disciples: “All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me, go and make disciples of all nation, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
In the last chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus asked Peter three times if he love Him. At each reply from Peter, Jesus told him to feed my sheep. Jesus said: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven—only the one who does the will of my Father.”
Jesus call us to be fisher of men (women included). That is the will of God for all of us. We may be bankers or teachers, but these are the way we make a living. To be a fisher of men (women as well), one must not be quarrelsome, but be kind and patient, an apt teacher, patient, correcting his opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth. So that they will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive to do his will. On the top of it, Jeus gave us His Holy Spirit, who make us to be more effective Fishers of men (and women as well).
