Is it just my impression, or is it a trend that students are currently graduating in fields that do not necessarily align with industry needs? Could we just be producing "more of the same"? I believe that we need targeted policies directing students to high-demand industries. Short-cycle vocational programmes also have the potential to bridge this gap, by including work-based opportunities that would offer a smoother transition into the workforce.
