The Malibu Collection: LINK's debut furniture designed by Joseph Jeup

This Spring, Link Outdoor introduces a new collection of furniture designed in collaboration with Joseph Jeup. The Malibu Collection offers a fresh modern aesthetic to outdoor living and adds to Link’s luxurious portfolio of residential furnishings. Included in Jeup’s debut collection with Link are his Malibu Sofa, Lounge Chair and Malibu Cocktail Table.

From the conception of the collection, Jeup envisioned pieces that reside on the terraces of contemporary homes along the Pacific shoreline of Southern California. The Malibu Collection carries both casual American approachability and scale, while being luxurious and refined. 

Jeup wanted the proportion and scale of each design to feel firm and grounded, reflecting the natural strength and high-quality teak Link is known for. He points out that “there is a juxtaposition of thin lines and wide panels that help define the overarching aesthetic.” The large, rounded side-panels seen in the lounge chair were the catalyst for the Malibu Collection. “We wanted this collection to relate together but not be an exact interpretation of each piece,” he says. “For example, the lounge chairs are more masculine than the dining chairs, but yet feel as though they belong together.” He points out details such as the delicacy of the arm and the grace of curves as some of the subtle feminine nuances he consciously added throughout the collection.

The Malibu Collection is constructed in sustainably harvested farmstead aged premium teak, solid sculpted marble, luxurious fabrics and bespoke upholstery. The first pieces will be available in showrooms this March with a new extension dining table and dining chairs debuting this fall.
