Maldives or Burst

I’m skipping in the light rain

Giggling with glee

There’s not much sun today

But who cares?

I’m in the fabulous Maldives

Where everything is so picturesque

Seven whole glorious days

To enjoy the exotic food and the many excursions

The beach and all things tropical

Just beautiful!

Great weather is predicted for the days ahead

So I’ll relax, grab a coconut

And soak up the dancing sun

It’ll be pure fun

Later, I’ll nibble on some pineapple slices

Out under the board walk

Some children are playing

And sun worshipers are tanning

As I go frolicking in the inviting water

I let the waves caress my skin

The sun is peeking out now from behind the clouds

Doing its two-step dance between the clouds and sky

I can feel its rays upon my back

And hope the jellyfish I saw will not attack

I’m floating on the waters clear and blue

I glance at the cowrie shells on my wrist

And promise to immerse myself in this moment of bliss

To fully enjoy this tropical get away

It is long overdue

Seven wonderful, glorious days

Of fun, sun, sea, and sand

On the stunning Bathala island
