Malaysia: Embracing the Beautiful Blend
I've had the privilege of living and working in Malaysia for a few years now, and I must say, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. As a German immersed in this vibrant and diverse country, I find myself constantly in awe of the rich tapestry of cultures, traditions, people, and foods in this country.
From the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur filled with delicious street food stalls and amazing events REXKL to the tranquil shores of Redang and Gem Island, Malaysia keeps on captivating me and frankly makes it very hard to leave. ?
I mean how amazing is that you can have a delicious Chinese Dumplings for breakfast, eat from a Banana Leaf at an Indian restaurant for dinner and hang out with an amazing mixed bunch of Malaysians at a Skatepark in between.
Living in Malaysia has been an incredibly journey, both professionally and personally. The warm hospitality and genuine friendliness of Malaysians have made me feel at home and foster a strong sense of belonging. I am grateful for the countless friendships I have formed along the way and their eagerness to share their traditions and food with me both in private and at the office.
As I continue to bounce between different cultures, traditions, people, and foods, I am reminded of the immense privilege I have to experience Malaysia's vibrant mosaic. It is a constant reminder of the power of cultural exchange and the beauty that arises when we open ourselves up to new experiences
If you ever find yourself in this incredible country, I urge you to embrace the diversity, explore the hidden gems, and most importantly try their food.
